My old steed.
Sold (gave) it to we buy any car end of march time.
Just wondered if anyone on here has it or where it is now.
Was a good car. Only problems with it were the usual central locking and window regulator issues.
Sold it as id had it a few years and wanted to go back to petrol.

Didnt think they scrapped anything.
Thought they just put them through BCA (which they own) and took their chances. A win some lose some touch.

Yikes, I did think it might be as insultingly low as that.
Probably sold off in bulk to a car recycling company.

Yeh, i know. I wasnt happy but had to get rid in a bit of a hurry.
The road i live on seems to have been built assuming everyone was a 1 car family, with parking space to suit.
I had 2 Leons and the good ladys Fiat 500.
So it had to go sharpish.
Itd be a shame if it were scrapped. It would have been good for someone.
Id taken it to AKS when i 1st got it and had it wound up to 180hp.
A lively old thing it was lol

Having the 1.9TDi and the 1.6 in the family now I see the comparison direct - same insurance, tax nearly double and fuel doing barely 3/4 of the miles, and really really sluggish.

I always wanted a petrol Cupra but at the time (5 years ago when i got the diesel Leon) couldn't justify the expence. I still cant but (touch wood) i can now afford to treat myself a little.

Its a lot tax but ive got a lot of car. 260hp of madness.

Unfortunately the black car was starting to feel a little worn out. Central locking and window regs all pretty much toast.

And my total commute every day is 6 miles to and from work and the engine didnt like the constant plodding in traffic. Resulting in me having to clean the turbo out every 6 months.

Also im fickle lol.

Im hoping my next one will be an ultra mint low miler.
Will have to see how the prices go.

I'm half and half on this one. My insurance for my FR TDI is around £200 a year, and I have plenty of fun when I want to give it a fist full of beans - and get 55mpg doing it - but when I bought the car I was doing 35k a year and I'm doing about 5k now - and it shows. I've failed on emissions every year for the past couple of years and it's totally down to the fact the engine only gets a few good runs a year.

If I could, I'd probably get a smaller petrol block and tune the life out of it...

200 quid shocking, when i scraped mums micra k11 2000 which was a dam sad day as there a good drive and easy to maintain it went for £164, loved that thing you know too turbo it the kit was 1k, may of been a good thing though as there not E10 friendly
