Shame about that car, but there are always others. I looked (7/6 weeks ago) at a black lcr with £25k on the clock in complete mint (they don't come in any better condition as the previous one owner worshipped the car) on 03 plate. This was up for £10,995. I was tempted as only just come in 2 days and they got it priced just for me, but I decided to go for a 55 plate instead.
I thought the £11k price was good, so if you can find one with just 5k more on clock for 10k you really are looking at a good deal.
I can undestand you not wanting to sell privately but I think it will be worth it. Bite your tongue and if anyone does take the pis* you can tell them to pis* off but you can get so much more as part x really is a low value for the car. Imo sell privately but I do understand your hatred for car abusers!!
