What are the 97 Cupra GTi head lamp bulbs

I am buying some new Xenon 5000K Ice white bulbs and need to know what are the bulbs in the facelift gti 97 cupra as i hear they are twin lamps?

I think i remember them having the following per headlamp.
1XH7, 2XH1 and1x501. Is this correct? would much appreciate any help.

Flapper's right, the Mk2 Gti's (8v and 16v) had 2xH1's per headlamp, with a W5W as the side light bulb.

The lower spec Mk2's only had a single H4 per headlamp, with a W5W side light.

is the h7 for the dipped beam and 2 h1's for main ? sorry to hijack but i really cant be bothered to go outside and look

You have 2xH1 and 1x501 bulbs in each headlight.

I personally recommend Philips bluevision bulbs... DONT go budget/unknown brand! I "upgraded" mine to replace the ancient ones that had been in the car for aeons without fault, all 4 burned out in 2 weeks. False economy! The philips are faultless.

Definately H1's.... Ive just had to buy a set this morning as one of mine had 'gone'.
