I doubt it would be picked up on the MOT as they don't go fast enough on the brake test for it to show up. I has the same issue on my focus after changing the front and rear wheels over. I got them re-balanced for a few pounds at a local tyre fitters and the problem was solved. Worth it if you can see there are no weights on there and is the cheapest first port of call IMO.

Cheers pal, need a couple of new tyres so will get it done then ;)

lol, thanks.

I normally put Tesco Momentum 99 in mine, so just seeing if it runs better or worse using the V power to that or not. If not, i'll continue using Momentum 99

I used to run my Ibiza on Tesco 99 then switched to v-power, stuck with shell just for the reward points in the end, I'm considering going back to Tesco though just because it's cheaper, only 3 minutes away and I can't say as I noticed any real difference between the two.

Had some EBC 345 disks grooved and drilled fitted today along with yellow stuff pads.
Looks great! Performance I will come back and let you know once they are bedded in properly :)

Fitted my Gti pedals, new mats, armrest and new rear wiper. Can't believe I went this long without an armrest, easily the best thing I've purchased for my FR so far.

To update on this, the knocking comes on at 65mph as before, and then if I start slowing down it slows down with the speed of the car. However if I stop and pull away it isn't there until I get to speed.

Is the undertray rear fixings secure?
Sounds like it maybe the undertray flapping once at speed.
Just a thought

Urm not 100% sure where you mean?

I just took it to a mate who works at a garage, had a quick drive and he seems to think that the top of the struts are loose - so over the week as the vibrations have made it worse. Sounds like a pretty good stab to me, will get it taken somewhere on Tuesday and ask them to make sure everything is secure.

I've had it on a skoda octavia that had a flapping noise with a vibration in the car and it was the 2 rear fixings of the undertray missing.
When the car reached about 60mph it started and stopped once you slowed down.
The diesels have a different undertray to the petrols and fix in to the alloy subframe.
If you look under the car you should be able to see if the plastic tray is secured at the rear.
