Airbag light comes on all the time in mine bought fault reader to sort it. Only have to put the seat back to hard and it puts it on.

Can happen on the tfsi engines if they do a lot of short journeys. If you do take it for a decent run out over the weekend and see if that sorts it.

it happens on most engines doing short journeys, its because of the condensation building up and oil not reaching the top of the rocker cover and hitting the bottom of the cap, obviously most people dont drive there car hard when cold so the oil wouldnt clean the gunk off the cap created by the condensation.

On the strength of this I have just bought a VAG405 scanner from eBay for £30! I doubt it will solve the problem but it will save me the 70quid diagnostics charge!

Finally fitted my ttrs brake set up,

So cheap and so good! The front end feels so much lighter and chirpier. No squeals or warps... Yet! Lol , now just to sell my old LCR brakes,

Front
- 370mm Audi TTRS discs
- 4 piston Audi RS3 Calliper (Brembo)
- Brembo Evo brake pads (anti squeal)
- Wieztec Custom front S/S Hoses
- removed dust shields

Rear
- 310mm Vented Mintex Discs
- 1 Piston R32 rear caliper

- Wieztec Custom Rear S/S Hoses

I would defiantly recommend this setup as there are a few TTRS's with 400bhp+ running these brakes and coping fine, although I have noticed the calliper prices rise recently.

NICE!:worship: I want this set up on mine eventually, well the fronts. I've got R8 handbrake calipers so I can put 4 pots on the rear too. Be a while yet though.

Looks awesome, did you have to use spacer on the front? If so what size?

Pretty much what I was thinking when I got mine. I've got a Vgate scan, similar sort of thing I think. Also if it comes up with one of igniter under the fronts seats and doesn't clear, disconnect the wires and reconnect it, then try to clear it again, normally sorts it. Hope you get it sorted.

Haha thanks, if you have R8 rears I'm not sure if it'd effect the bias have 4 pots all around, there wouldn't be much in it to get porsche 6 pot fronts and 4 pot rears.

I had to use a spacer on the front, it only actually needs about 3mm but I went for the usual 12mm front and 15mm rear, but with the cupra R alloys i think 10 front would be better suited or smaller, I'm not sure though, need springs before I'm 100% decided.

... On other news I'm won a forge washer bottle on fleabay for £45.00, now this IS a ridiculous price, but... I promised myself I'd buy one for my old car and failed, so when I saw it I wasn't going to fail my Leon again!! Lol

Although no more stupid buys stage 2+ things only... And a HPA inlet.

Got this done today. Properly easy job once you've got all the parts. Although did drop a washer inside the bonnet skin, which took took ages to get out. Thanks to Daniel M for all the advise on parts etc.

Battery box done, another job that Seat should have done as standard ticked off the list.

Hey Stylance,

I like that brake setup you have going there.
I have the VWR big brake kit for the front but haven't installed it yet. I am still wait for steel brake lines for the rear which I ordered ages ago but there have been a few issues.

I was thinking about the r32 caliper switch for the rear while upgrading the discs and pads but some people have told me there is no need to upgrade the rears with a front wheel drive car so for now I am just upgrading the front kit and only doing rear brake lines for the back. Do you track your car at all? Id be very interested in some feed back from you if you do as I will definitely look in to upgrading the rears too if I find there is uneven braking. its quite hard to find something good for the rears of the leon, so yours looks like a great solution.

Nice work. ;)

Thank you very much, but unfortunately I've been driving like a granny and even worse no where near tracks, but from my previous experience I installed r32 brakes on my tinned TDI, when I used to brake I complained it felt like I was going to 'endo' it bit really hard on the front and the back just glided then lifted, felt terrible, turns out the rear Pistons on the calipers were wrecked and not retracting properly, once fixed it worked really well and was and even balance when braking, I know seat design it with solid rear discs and spent a lot of time in R&D but you've got to remember that the seat is at the bottom of the food chain excluding the skoda also money is a big factor to the manufacturing.

In my opinion ... From a fair amount of experience I would always try to match the back to the front regardless what people say, the R32 rear is shared across most fast VWAG vehicles, I'm sure the new Leon 280 has them as standard now. So that just proves my point when increasing the power of our cars to above 265/240.

Thanks again

Also on a side note.. The audi TTRS fronts with R32 rears is just the same as the new Leon sub 8 package brakes if I'm correct. (Normally waiting to be proved wrong though)
Oh and I'm jealous of your VWR brakes !

Sealed up my headlight like a pikey to stop it filling up with water, now finally have a working headlight for the first time in 6 months. And finally changed my close to bald front tyres. Ready for winter just in time judging by the weather today
