Damn that was quick mate. What happened to the Ed30? Get a good price for it?

Yeah, very quick :( the ED30 is currently still on my driveway, I'll be giving it to a guy I know to sell through his dealership so we don't have the hassles of selling privately :)

I nearly bought one of those Sam before getting the MK2. Love Audi's.

Yeah I love it to be honest! It is by far the best built car I've owned, and it's also the oldest!

Spoke to Nigel at BCS and got booked in for a full turbo back prestige powervalve system. Was going to go non powervalve, but I would've been left wondering so thought I'd bite the bullet. Just got to wait until the 22nd of next month now until it's fitted.

Great news mate. Caution, prestige with the valve will be super quiet until you add boost.

Ah maybe I am presuming he is going 200cel sports cat - but no way in hell would you buy a BCS turbo back system with a cat and then decat it, you just buy it without.

true you wouldnt, but you could just buy a tbe with a decat not a sport cat, probably save you a pretty penny too.

Off-road use only obviously...

Thanks, yeah 200 cell cat going in. I had a listen of kebabwarrior81's (Craig) set up on his. Non pv prestige and its plenty for what I want when off boost. I don't want it to sound like a group n rally car unless I'm on it when I want people to hear me coming so they can get the feck outta my way :drive1:

Hi all,
Just spent couple of hours changing over front brake discs, managed to round the disc retaining screw !!Ended up drilling it out. All sorted now though, just ordered a new screw so will put that on when it arrives.

Yeah they're louder than standard without the valve or at least have an exhaust note which IMO mine doesn't as standard. I doubt they will be any quieter due to the valve being present, but let me know what you think once yours is fitted, I'm sure you'll be more than happy. I've not heard of anybody yet that wasn't.

From my understanding, the valve does keep things quieter off boost than a non-valve off boost. Valve open they are the same as non-power valve.

It must be quieter, otherwise there is no real point paying a few hundred extra for a gas valve that doesn't stem the flow.

Ah yes the info is on their site. OEM noise levels off boost

Our design would be radical in that it diverted gas away from a direction which took it into an environment designed to reduce the sound to an OEM level, and into a section bypassing this entirely. In addition this would also need to open the system fluidly to allow maximum flow of the exhaust gas to enable the new design to still outperform its rivals.

Happy days guess it was a stealth buy Andy

Ive just got confirmation that my bcs prestige exhaust with the valve is ready to be sent out i will let you all know how it sounds on idle once ive fitted it i dont want mine to be loud on idle just a little louder than stock maybe.

Nice one mate, you going to fit it this weekend if it arrives in time Al

Stripped the front end down, to fit a new intercooler (eurojet), RS4 Valve and while im at it with the manifold off strip and clean the valves of carbon build up. All this for preparation for a stage 2 + remap for next week at shark performance :D as the current map on it is badly done and is running the engine too lean at the top end.

Carbon build up at 66k

3 Hours later using wire brushes, cotton buds, carb cleaner and brake cleaner.
