My MK2 will be parked up for the next 3-4 weeks after me having a hip operation :(

Got mine back from the dealers yesterday, drives much better but I'm unsure what they actually did on it's service, the clues are not much. Fresh copper grease on the calipers but it shouldn't be where it is unless they just dabbed it on with a brush without even taking the wheels off, air filter? nope that's old and a Unipart item.

Stoneacer Doncaster.... Just read the dealer reviews and like a moron I bought the warranty so it must be serviced there :censored::censored::censored:

Up in perth took the LCR out for a wee morning sprint and ended up having a wee tussle with a mazda 3 MPS.

LCR= 1 MPS= BIG FAT ZERO!!! Look on the guys face was a picture:lol:

Took the front end off a mates Golf and put a full new set of HID's in. Dipped, Main, Fogs & some side lights :)

Then I did a bit of detailing on my Leon. Took a wheel off, Iron X'd it, cleaned, polished, and then sealed!
Only managed the front 2, and it took me ages. The back two are going to have to wait until tomorrow AM!
Really happy with the result! :)

When you have new tyre's fitted, can the polish & seal be got off otherwise the weight's won't stick?

There's a good question! We'll see when the time comes :p
Fairy liquid or APC will get it off I suspect!

thats bloody quick took me about a hour to fit and half hour to remove.

This time had the special tool for undoing the clamp on the turbo.

Had silicone spray to position the hoses.

Put the rubbers in the heat shield 1st instead of leaving on the car & hammered with silicone spray

Engine was nice and warm to make engine cover a bit easier to come off (softer rubbers)

That & Ive done a few now. Not convinced the 2 torx screws to secure the MAF were the right ones at all but Ben was happy to raunch them in an the MAF is in nice & tight

There were a few subtle differences between it & my ITG, was it a Ko3 kit converted?

Think he's happy with it anyhow & the car should be adapted by the time he's put some decent fuel back in and made it back to Germany :)

I had the same issue with the MAF screws, found one at work with the right thread and length which is holding it securely in place now but still need one more......

as far as i am aware it was a ko4 itg mate. unless it had been adapted previous to me getting it. i only put it on for a day then removed and sold within a day.
