Guys the TSI chain does not need any kind of maintenance! Its there for life and you don't need to touch it or change anything unless there is a fault. If a dealer tries to advise cambelt change they are talking rubbish as the car doesn't have one!

Funilly enough on the main dealer service sticker on the inside of my windscreen, where it states cam belt, they've put 60K/4years, as if it needs a belt.
Clearly not right then if it's chain driven

I shall check my manual anyhow just to be sure.

Are we definitely certian all 1.4 TSi's are chain driven, there wasn't a change at some point meaning some are chain & some are belt depending on engine code/year of manufacture.....

No worries, I've got the same service sticker on my windscreen :)

There was a change to cambelt for the latest EA211 1.4 TSI, but SEAT are currently only fitting that to the 2013 MK3 Leon. However they use a new type of longlife cambelt designed to not need changing.
