Will halfords do the 3m fast cut plus green top or is it specialist stuff??

Thanks

Ive polished. T cut about 4 times. Looks better but still very obvious.

You really need a da polisher and good cutting pads, seat paint is really hard, have a look on clean your car website, I have got the das pro 6 with sonus cutting pads

Da are expensive for what they are though. The rotary above is fine if you use commonsense.

Halfords sell freclair polish either use total or g3 but Tbh 3m is a better product

Rob,

if you want to try and give it another go by hand, I can recommend Farecla G3 scratch remover, followed by a decent polish with fillers - something like Autoglym SRP

I managed to turn this panel:

into this, with a good going over with Farecla G3 & Autoglym SRP & HD Wax:

worth £8 for a bottle to try 1st

Ive got turtle wax black and also mer hd

So will they do and just get the g3?

To be perfectly honest, Turtle wax is rubbish, Mer is quite good actually.

Get the Farecla G3 & Bin the Turtle wax off.
Get something like Autoglym SRP (or similar) whatever you get, make sure it has fillers, as this will mask the appearance of scratches/swirls

Meguires do some good stuff, poorboys black hole maybe?

it'll take a few coats, depending on the severity of the scratches

this is the stuff: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...01&langId=-1&productId=804685&catalogId=10151

Is that the cab andy? Very hood work by hand!!

I was going to get a DA but its a battle i wont win against swirls. Even waxing after could ruin the finish, not to mention the first wash and dry

The turtle wax was just a wax undercoat to blacken in any scratches. Lol

Ta for the g3 link will pick it up tomorrow

See I'm lucky in what I do and have access to. I'm also lazy haha
So far I have hit my car with a hard pad and fact cut twice and then fine polish and then ultrafina which is a finishing glaze.

To keep the car topped up I tend to use autoglym hd wax once every two months and then I weekly use gradient which is a wax and polish liquid. It's like £40 for a gallon. I wash the car once a week. Fri or sat then wax with gradient. It takes me less than 30mins to do.

Hd is a great wax for the money.

I'd say so Rob,

bit of an Autoglym fan myself, have a massive car cleaning box full of Autoglym stuff.

Super Resin Polish (SRP) and HD Wax is a must :)
