What did you and your MK2 do today?

Fitted a new pcv...............my god what a difference, must have lost a fair few psi of boost. The car feels amazing now.

Was a very quick job probably 15mins max. I know what you mean about the first try at speed, they are still in place even at 70mph and today's high winds so happy days.



I like the look of that grill, will look really good when fitted.

Unfortunately you can't really see it when fitted...

Just back from having a RR done by simon at Sitech. Pretty happy with the results although they seem abit high? Said the car is running perfect which is the most important thing!

It's the 2.0tdi cr170. That's why I'm thinking the readings are high?

I presume you just wanted it RR'd and it's not had a remap?

Sometimes cars produce more than quoted and also dynos are a lottery.

Another dyno and it could read 15bph down.

Not been remapped that I'm aware of. A guy that was there has had his done in another rr and said there was only 4 bhp of a dif between them???It was a fiesta day but I went through with my mate and put it on at the end as I was there. Needless to say the fiesta club were not happy lol!

What symptoms were you getting?

Just seemed to be lacking a bit of boost and had shocking mpg. Only when I replaced my cam follower did I notice that the pcv was original! Diverter valve was replaced last month. did a run in it last night and was straight up to the high 20's and on the same journey before I was struggling to get to 20mpg.

well decided tonite to fit my chrome front headlight indicator bulbs...there a pig to get out of the headlight as you need small hands, but I managed to do it with only a small amount of skin loss..

I hated the amber in the headlights....
