Probs a mk6 golf gt/gtd

Boring but reliable lol

That's why I've got a Pi55rat as company motor. Boring and dull as fk but reliable.
Had a quick blat in a Golf R earlier this week, aside from the performance build is impressive. It's going to be a toss up between an R and a 280 Cupra next time , and tbh the Golf is ahead at the moment.

Ahead why? I spoke to 3 blokes at GTI International last weekend that owned Golf R MK7 and they all said they wish they had bought the 280

It's not that hard mate.

Take the grille off the car & then separate the chrome piece from the grille.

The chrome can then be wrapped using a piece of wrap cut larger than the chrome surround.
There is lots of wasted wrap, as you cut the middle out, but with lots of heat it can be done in 20 - 30 mins.
Or find something to hold the item still like grips

Like having a third hand, always helps when wrapping

My Vgat Scan came today, very pleased with it. Reset my airbag light and checked nothing else was up.

After 4 Leon's think its time for a change. Cost wise currently can get a Golf R cheaper than a 280 Cupra, similar spec. Like the way the 4wd puts the power down, although tbf I've not driven a mk3 so maybe I'm being a bit unfair, comparing traction with mk2 ( in the wet.....)
Current plan to keep current car till next year at least, then see how things stack up. It'll be a close thing, and may change once I have had chance to drive a mk3.

Don't be fooled into them "cheap" Golf R that are being advertised I read somewhere the brokers have been putting them through as business cars rather than personal so they are invalid

Yes, I've read that too, will be interesting to see what the situation is in 12 months time. Or if the Cupra R ever appears....

I don't see why they released a 4WD version of the shitty estate Leon, but not on their sports model? Seems retarded!! I would get one if it was 4WD, kind of pointless having 300-400bhp in a front wheel drive car too much power through the front wheels
