Yeah me too hopefully. Rear brakes need changing but I can do then so no rush. Apart from that next is tax in November.

Well had the car a week and so far I've done, Thursday Cambelt and water pump. Today I fitted new front bumper grill as it was cracked, fitted a new cam follower, replaced the pressure switch for the air con, shampoo'd the interior and gave it a bloody good clean inside. Oh and fixed the sticky rear badge/boot handle.
Tomorrow is outside challenge. Snow foam,polish,seal,wax, wheels off to clean and get it up to scratch if I have enough time.

Did you replace the pressure switch on the air com yourself? Is it easy? Mines leaking and need to change it.

I got a few prices on line that came out lower than Black Circles, they seem to be expensive now. I normally get a couple of prices on line, take them into my local independent and he usually matches or beats them by a few quid. I find the big ones (ATS, Quikfit etc) can't come close. Plus I know the fitters at the independent, same ones for years.
It's very easy. It takes a hole of about 5mins only thing you need is a long extension bar and a 17mm crows foot socket. Mine had lost all its gas when I took it for a test last week, so I knew it was Ok to take off.
Yeah black circles are £102 for mine and I got them for £72 each.
Even out own supplier at work 'stapletons' can only do them for £84 a tyre.

I'm lucky on the tyre front as I get all mine at cost from our lass's dad he uses a place called Bonds in York as his supplier as well as a few other places.

I have done around 20,000 on them but can't check when I get home. To be fair I don't like a fairy but they are 17's and I'm getting then changed tomorrow as they like 2mm on them.
I had uniroyals on my Astra and they where very good in the wet but it only had 100bhp through the front.

I have probably 4-5 mm left at around 14000 miles. They have worn quite evenly and ive only changed front to back once last year. On 17"s
Just asking about uniroyal, tenner cheaper per corner on camskill with exactly same rating same specs
Well i did 20,000 just on the fronts never changed them over which I think is very good.
Uniroyals tend to be more wet weather based. I just find the Goodyear to be a very good all round tyre.
A lot of people on here use them.
