Rotary buffer. Maguires Endurance Tyre Gel.

Only used the buffer once before on my last car , don't think I'll be doing it again any time soon. It just splatters everywhere . This time I masked off everything that wasn't getting buffed and all panel gaps , but every time I moved to a new panel the previous one got splattered. The compound is a bitch to get off if left to dry (thats why i masked off , learnt lesson from 1st try) so I was going round in circles. Scrubbing dried compound off a nice shiney buffed panel just puts swirls back on !
All the gear and no idea it would seem. Next time it'll be a paid professional I think. Not that the car needed it , white seems to hide alot which I was surprised by.

Anyone want to buy a buffer and compound ? (Joking)

Totally agree about the rotary, it doesnt half leave a tonne of splatter everywhere. Thats why I prefer my porter cable DA, takes longer but isnt half as messy. I use the same tyre gel but obviously not using enough haha.

Tightened up my passenger mirror today, luckily my arms not the longest i was able to get in thru the speaker hole and tighten it up it still seems a little out of line though and theres a small gap that water could get in at the back of the mirror mount.

Me and the mrs went to devil developments in littlehampton today to have power runs of our cars today. I've not had a dyno session before and neither has she so it was a good experience. Anyway her mk5 gti is standard apart from a pre cat delete and made 214bhp which she was very happy with. ,my cupra is running a revo intake, pre cat delete and stage 1 revo. I know it's a dyno lottery and such but nonetheless I'm very happy with the result. He did say the intercooler was struggling slightly on the second run so an s3 cooler will be on the cards soon.

What tools do you need for this?
Mine is loose as well and been doing my head in.
I have been meaning to sort it for ages, just haven't fancied having to strip the door card off.

I swear WeeG had his one up for sale for £400 with 5000 miles on it in the for sale section

I did banksy got it. My slave failed last week so I replaced both the slave and got a dual mass flywheel with sachs stage 3 pressure plate as the mrs is driving it. I expected the clutch to be contaminated with fluid from failed slave but it was perfect, also got the gearbox reconditioned while I was at it was told by the time the gearbox was the best the specialist had seen with the wavetrac diff due to frequent gearbox oil changes

At the weekend I painted my brakes and hub, the results are amazing. Just need to do the rear brakes now.

ill get some together when I have done the rears, want to take some before and after shots.
