That's an expensive habit! I'd rather do £100 for two new budgets (I have 18's) then anything that I don't know the history of. Especially with my kids in it

Goodyears are less than £80 with an "A" rating in the wet. I simply don't understand people who penny pinch when it comes to the only part of the car that touches the road.

Tyres are very cheap when you consider how long they last: Assuming a set of four covers 15000 miles (reasonable lifetime if you rotate them), for £320 that works out at 2 pence per mile.

Too expensive, link me to a article of 'death or serious injury due to part worn tyres'..

But if it makes any difference to anyone's life, i am on the kwik fit website right now, they are doing 4 budget tyres and at checkout it comes to £145 fitted. I will really consider it. For ride comfort, fuel economy, safety and piece of mind and all that.

I had Goodyear efficient grip whatever they were and they were shite! I put on falkens after they ran out and they were brilliant, albeit a bit noisier after a few miles. I seriously hate bad budgets but depending on what you do the B rated wet ones I got are great.

Now when it comes to my motorbike you just seriously can't scrimp. Pilot road 4's are the way for me on bikes. No cage, airbags, esp or much other gadgets to help either so it's all on the tyres

Good point with your motorbycyclette, premium quality tyres to help you avoid out of control motorists on budget/second hand tyres.....:p

That's unbelievably cheap! What clutch did you get for that price? I paid more just for my clutch an flywheel before fitting, never mind everything else you had done lol.

I used to think car tyres were expensive, that was until I got into mountain biking, you don't see much change out of £100 for two of them

He bought a part worn clutch  .... sorry I had to

Lol! I had a Sachs DMF fitted from Euro Car Parts (because my uncle owns a taxi firm covering Walsall/Wolverhampton he has a 60% discount on the Octavias/Jettas/Avensis' because that's what he runs)so I got one for the Octavia that was compatible for the Leon.

30 seconds from home, clutch hits the floor... the bleed block assembly has popped out of the casing. Hoping it's an easy fix.

Fitted new wheels today! [B)]
