You know that power cut that shut off power to like 1million people last week...
That was my town getting electricity for the first time... Pretty big drain...
And none of those stupid indoor toilets.
Didn't realise one street needed so much.
I had everything prepped, I've been collecting all my electrical items for years for this moment
Bet you were so excited when the brand new black and white tv / 2 bar electric fire kicked in!?
I did save up for the 5 channel push button TV though... Couldn't get the wired remote...
Haha, we're posh... we have the 5m remote cable. Although it has been tripped over about 30 times and the end is bent to 45 degrees.
Pretty much same boat, living in Somerset, 2011 Cupra R with stage 1 and wrapped black roof £430 if I remember correctly, was around £230 before the remap but I hadn’t told them about the wrapped roof.
Did some preventative maintenance on my new 110k TFSi steed.
Replaced my PCV and HPFP cam follower and my slightly lumpy idle is now sorted. HPFP was between stage 1&2 here http://r-techperformance.co.uk/2-0-tfsi-tuning/
Just need to raise the coilovers a little to stop it catching going onto my drive then start saving for bits and re-map.

In the old girl goes for a cam belt change\water pump and a service as well. Borrowed my parents V6 4Motion Golf and yikes the brakes are nowhere near as strong. Must remember not to press the brake pedal as hard as what the golf needs when I get mine back or I will be headbutting the dashboard.
On Sunday I purchased my MK2 facelift Cupra and last night I changed the cam follower. Don't think much of the engine cover, mine doesn't seem to want to go back on 100%.

Did you check the rubber bits that are in the air-box hadn't come off and stuck on the prongs of the engine as that happens every time for me when I take the air-box off I bet that's the problem.On Sunday I purchased my MK2 facelift Cupra and last night I changed the cam follower. Daughter’s car now but f/n/side calliper has seized, so a quick change of calliper and pads, of for an mot, failed on a broken spring, f/o/side, didn’t see that but they can break anytime, letting the garage change that and the top mount(Just in case), dirty hands once a day is more than enough, still as long as it passes.
Now passed, technician spent 3 hours odd on the job, messing about trying to get the top mount bolts out, me, last time I just zipped the heads off with a rotary cutter, no messing about, 1 hour an a bit, that’s why I supplied the top mount, still, only 1 1/2 hours labour to pay, at staff rate, happy bunny.

Stuck the Leon lettering back on after painting gloss black. Think it looks pretty good, I'll leave the boot handle silver as it breaks it up well.
Changed the outer left side rear light cluster as the one fitted had been chipped.
Changed the aux input for one with a cover as the previous one had snapped off.
Changed the cigarette socket for one with the cover flap as they look a lot neater than the ones without the flap.
