I've just had a pair of Pilot Super Sport 4s fitted, they are far superior to the terrible bridgestones! Highly recommend. They did damage my wheel fitting them though  I will have to see if they do a good job repairing the chip.

Fitted the DTUK box to my 1.8 tsi and .....what a difference. Running on 3+2 at the moment but I will play around with it to see what suits. Well impressed so far though.

Andrew at DTUK lists it as 245Hp and 323lb/ft torque...and to be honest it feels right. The lad in the Type R Civic got the suprise of his life 2 nights ago anyway.....
Once I wised up and decided to preserve my licence he pulled along side and asked what the f**k was below the bonnet...
Job done then :1st:

Unless it is the latest one that's to be expected even without a tuning box.

Managed to install a dashcam and hardwired to the fuse box.

I did this a while ago but for some reason my camera doesn't seem to get enough power to keep it charged and after a few weeks starts making a warning beep sound for low battery. Either that or I never do long enough journeys to keep the battery charged!

Sounds like the battery may be past its best. Can you swap / upgrade it? The one I installed only has a capacitor for power so wired to permanent live with voltage monitoring which will power down the camera if battery voltage drops below a predetermined value if camera in parking mode

It is only a few months old so either it's a dud battery or it needs more mah to charge. If I charge it out of the car it seems to last several hours so battery does hold a charge. My only other thought was I don't drive the car enough to keep it topped up. It does sit on the drive for a week or two at a time and then I'll do a few short runs.

I suspect changing the battery would be beyond my rudimentary soldering skills and I would make a right pigs ear of it!

Before installing the box I'd have been suprised if my 180hp Fr would have kept up with the last gen type r with 230hp let alone left him for dead....maybe that's just me. It was almost worth the cost just to see the look on his face.

I haven't had the chance to see how my 1.8 TSi compares to my mate's MKII Type-R as yet but was amused when a Focus EcoBoost Black Edition tried to overtake me as we both joined an open stretch of dual carriageway earlier, made me even more pleased that I chose to purchase a Leon!

Although I opted for the DSG, so looks my tuning options are very limited should I someday feel the need for more speed... unless I'm feeling flush enough to splash out on a TMG performance DQ200 clutch!

I got a DNA remap yesterday in my 184 FR tdi. Now running 230bhp with 482nM . Dyno print out. Just need to change my tyres now, as I can't stop spinning. Budget tyres on the front when I bought the car last week.

Booked my 2014 in for its last service before the warranty expires in May.

Have asked them to have yet another look at the rattly passenger door and A pillar. They did this last year but it made no difference.

Due to a bad attack of lurg, followed by Xmas & New Year, actually got to drive my 1.8 FR for the first time in a few weeks! After a bit of a lay-off, struck by what a competent chassis this is, as I had a good zoom round the local ring road with its many roundabouts, in search of a new mobile phone.

So replaced my 12 year old Nokia with a (slightly) less out of date Sony and found the process of pairing it with the Leon quick and simple (as a confirmed tech dinosaur, first time I'd actually done it )
