Finally got around to starting sound proofing my doors in-between the trusty British weather. I have to give every credit to JMAC for the superb walk-through you went to the effort of and using your photos as a guideline made it a damn sight easier!!
I did notice seats duct tape solution to the black panel rattle and also quite a but of moisture in the metal skin behind the speaker which I might have to keep an eye on

Had a good 5 hour blast from home to badcaul, up near Ullapool. Stunning roads , great weather, and not too bad a view from friend's croft. . .
Well not just today....
took the ST down to the Pyrenees loaded with three blokes, cycles and kit last week. Just over 2.5k miles and she didn't skip a beat. I have to say a very comfortable drive there and back, cruising at 125kp/h most of the way. She turned in an average between 59 and 60 mpg too! (Edit: On the motorway, mpg took a bit of a dip running up and down the Col de Tourmalet
)

I fitted my door lock covers that arrived today. It's small cheap addition that helps tidy the car up a bit. They were only €5.71 with free postage from Aliexpress. They just stick on with 3M pads that are pre fitted to the covers.
Yes original was heated but was the pistol style spray. New ones have a wider fan style spray like the mk2. Much better!

For one door and being very slow with regards to cutting up the silent coat sheets, it took an hour for the first door, the more you do it, the more you know what you're doing and it speeds it up

Not to bad then. I really must do it as the difference is supposed to be very noticeable.
Mines a 13 reg and has the headlight washers and heated jets but without the winter pack. The early fr's came with those as standard I believe.

Yeah it has got rid of a really annoying rattle I have. I'll only notice it's full effect once all doors are done, but I used the guide JMAC showed

Looking good, i thought of get a set, but was suspicious about the quality and fitment,
i dont want them to come loose and scratch the paint.
