It's a samsung charging pad. I fitted it as per the Diy dash cam thread, but obviously ran the usb cable behind the centre console. Dead Easy

Wasn't quite today, but completed it all last night; Wired up my dash cam to work constantly (motion sensor only when ignition is off), changed the spark plugs to the Audi RS7 plugs, fitted the 034 lower engine mount and prepared the glove box ready for the air con mod (air conditioned glove box).

Would be interested to know what is involved with the glovebox/aircon mod, it's something I miss that I had on my MK6 Golf.

If you drop out the trim under the glove box, and look towards behind the centre of the dash, there's a valve that has a black cap on it. Apologies it's not very clear because of the flash and it's the only photo I took (it's the blue and white blur in the photo to the left of the curving metal pipe).

Take the whole glove box assembly out and there's a punched out valve gap - valve goes there.

Then a hose to connect the two. The hardest part is navigating the hose and wiring to the CD unit and glove box back into place to bolt it all back in position.

Valve: 5EQ816355 9B9
Hose: 5G2816311

Cost from VW for those was like £11.

Had to get another hose and do a bit of a bodge as the original hose (above) on the Golf diagrams was the same part number but looked different and was about 4inches too small.

Additional hose: 3G2816311

That's excellent! Thank you.

If anyone has app connect, the Toways CablePlus 90 Degree cable is highly recommended.

I found one on ebay for less than £10.

Tried my new toy: Mobi V-17 Portabable Pressure washer and gave her a good wash and wet wax:

Once the oil was out and new sump plug refitted it was time to do oil filter, easy if you have the right tools (usually I attempt something then realise I need a tool, this time I was ready)

Took approx 30 mins and most of that was waiting for the oil to drain! First time I have serviced a car with an oil filter like that, Previous ones have been the old style ones. Need to do my MK2 Golf now and Motorbike.

Decided to tackle the door card rattles. Took about 2 hours total; so far very impressed with the results. Found three of the door clips were snapped already (guessing previous owner had a go at removing it) and I snapped a further 5 made sure I had 20 spares though before attempting the job!

Will take our for a drive later today and see if the rattles have gone.

Also gave it a quick wash after and tried out a new QD

Ah sorry I did that after taking the photo; I had some foam and put that behind the speaker grill thingy. Anything is better than what it was before!
