I finally got a day off to fit my CB Auto 15mm wheelspacers. They're usually £50 a pair but they're currently doing them for £40.

I'm very impressed with them, they're made of 7075 alloy and the machining, fit and anodising are absolutely flawless.

The fronts look a bit close to the arches but I've just been for a razz and no touching yet ?.

And yes, I did reverse into my own fence the other morning ?.

Got my Harman MIB2 High unit back from Ryan at NorthEastVAGAdaptions.co.uk , he updated the map FEC to 073000FF and altered all the FECs on my unit to match my VIN (they were done previously by Vagtec incorrectly), he also installed the latest maps 2021 (189?) and enabled VIM.
Excellent service and reasonable price, highly recommend him.

Drove 93 miles in it. Been a while since it's been out so good to give it a good run.

Just accepted a new job 2 miles away so my commute will no longer be 55 miles. Might have to swap for a petrol

Threw out the useless stock halogen reverse light and fitted a LED one instead.

Needless to say it's a huge improvement. Hope it'll last.

Similar. I was doing 20 miles each way and all I have to do now is walk upstairs!

Gone from 20,000 miles a year to maybe 5,000.

The petrol option crossed my mind as well.

I don't know what to do. I have my perfect Leon equipment wise, just the wrong engine. I'm hopeful I can ride/walk to work and keep it for longer journeys

Same here, my 184 is now (almost) perfect (minus sports bumper and exhaust but I can't justify £1k for the remainder of the body kit)
Although just accepted a new job permanent from home but with the very occasional (once a month) visit to the office which is 200 miles each way. Diesel will be nice for that (round trip on one tank with a third to spare) but a petrol is calling

I run mine maybe 4 miles down the road and back 3 or 4 times a week to go do some work for someone and it's barely has time to warm up. It has had the odd longer journey during lockdown as well.

Having said that, the DPF regen is steady at about 180 miles. It was about 200 miles pre-lockdown. As long as I monitor it with VAG DPF, I know when a regen is due/ongoing and can drive the car untils it's complete. It didn't complete last time (my bad) and was keen to make sure it finished this time.

I know it's not ideal to have a diesel for such reduced mileage but the modern engines are very good and I'm happy to wait and see. I change the oil and filter myself every 5,000 miles anyway as the car seems to like it, so it will still get the TLC it deserves.

Cured my passenger side door card rattle the other day and while I was at it I thought I’d stick some sound deadening around the speaker and liberally on the door panel. Seems to improved the already pretty decent standard stereo, just need to find time to do the other 3 doors

Did mine a few months ago, its severely underrated the difference it makes.
Few tips, get it everywhere in the door(I used 8 A4 sheets per door). I mean everywhere, I pushed mine nearly to the top of the door on the exterior and interior panel.
Towards to front there's a curved piece of the door, this made a big difference to mine.

I half assed the drives door, but spent a good hour doing the passenger, its very noticeable.

When you tackle the other 3, get yourself a narrow paint roller, works wonders and you'll still have your fingers.
