@Tester01 Yes, I also have this and the fix is very simple. The lower seat padding is making contact with the plastic of the chair. I put in a piece of foam between it, so the lower seat padding does not make contact anymore. Solved.

Is it easy to access? Would I have to remove the seat?@Tester01 Yes, I also have this and the fix is very simple. The lower seat padding is making contact with the plastic of the chair. I put in a piece of foam between it, so the lower seat padding does not make contact anymore. Solved.
Take it you mean between here? No, just push the lower bolster to the side and put some foam in between it. if I remember I will create a picture for it![]()
Try putting a thin bit of cardboard that should help prove this is the solution.Hope it’s source of mine.
Now to figure where to buy foam I guess Amazon, tried the local shops near me nothing.
Recently I was messing with wiring in passenger door. After looking through wiring diagrams I found out that Audi A3 8V could have door lock button on them. I thought that Seat cannot be worse than Audi so I present to you modification nobody asked for
I've used door handle from UK version and due to white illumination I had to swap electronic to Golf 7 button. What is funny is that this button was already coded in my car and it started working right after I've plugget it in!
My prefacelift Cupra 280 has these buttons as well.is yours a prefacelift? As my facelift FR has those buttons already (along with auto lock when you start driving, unlock when you turn the engine off)
Both Doors?Ist Ihr Modell ein Vorfacelift? Mein FR mit Facelift hat diese Tasten bereits (zusammen mit der automatischen Verriegelung beim Anfahren und der Entriegelung beim Abstellen des Motors).
I know how it looks for you guys from UK, but the photo is from passenger side, not driver!is yours a prefacelift? As my facelift FR has those buttons already (along with auto lock when you start driving, unlock when you turn the engine off)
Me neither, but I was looking through wiring diagrams and though "ahhh screw this, let's do it!"It’s never bothered me not having them on the passenger side mind you.
Unfortunately not, but it is relatively ease to fabricate. 2 new wires from 32-pin connector, 1 wire tapped into ground wire and 1 wire tapped into button illumination wire - that's it.Is the wiring already there then? Just swap handle frame and away you go?
My understanding of primary function of auto lock is to stop people outside the car from entering the car’s cabin - e.g. to stop car jacking incidents. When auto lock has engaged, in the absence of the modification to fit the lock / unlock buttons to the front passenger door, it’s still possible for the front seat passenger to open their door from the inside just by pulling the interior door handle. Rear seat passengers can also open their doors from the inside, unless the child locks have been activated.Nah you lost me at fabricateIf it was just plug and play I might have done for giggles, but ive literally never needed the passenger to unlock their own door! Pretty cool you can get it working so easily* (*if you aren’t as thick as me) though
That's the only one case that I see in which this button might be quite handy: driver gets out of the car, passenger stays in and does not want anyone to enter the car so they could lock the car conveniently from their door. Some cars have button in the center console so that solves that particular problem. My understanding of primary function of auto lock is to stop people outside the car from entering the car’s cabin - e.g. to stop car jacking incidents. Yes, my non-VAG car has the lock button on the dashboard below the infotainment screen and above the heating / ventilation controls. That's the only one case that I see in which this button might be quite handy: driver gets out of the car, passenger stays in and does not want anyone to enter the car so they could lock the car conveniently from their door.
