Pick up my Leon FR TDI at the weekend but prior to that:

1st car Dec 2005

Pug 205 1.4 xs
VW Golf GT TDI 110 - Full R32 rep before it became too common a sight.....
Toyota MR2 Turbo - Loved that car so much, not what you'd call standard either....
Seat Ibiza 1.4 (chill possibly? Bought a home so couldn't afford the running costs of the tubby)
Ford Mondeo 1.8 lx estate - Hand me down from my dad after the Ibiza died.
Audi A4 1.8t (190) S-Line
BMW 118d Sport
Ford Focus 1.6tdci
Vaux Astra SRi 1.7 cdti

And in a few days we get a Chrono Yellow FR TDI Leon! Can't wait!

Likewise, best car I've ever owned. So much fun!

It was never RR'd but it had:

Mines ECU
Phoenix Power Departure 2 exhaust
Blitz Air Filter
GTS Chris Manual Boost Controller, set up by Rogue in Coventry running 1 bar or near as you can get on a manual controller!
HKS Intercooler

Exterior-wise:

Toms front bumper and Air Scoop
Enkei NT01 staggered 16" alloys in white
ASK Sport racing lightweight headlights
ASK Sport racing lightweight mirrors

Used to be a member on IMOC, not been on in a good year or 2, but there were a couple of pics on there somewhere I think?

How about yours?

some good stuff on there!!

i was on IMOC and MR2oc as well.

Mine had off the top of my head:

Forged Atec 2 alloys
ohlins adjustable suspension
Apexi power intake
HKS SSQV
Greddy Profec B Spec 2 electronic boost controller set to 1.1bar
Full Celica ST205 Chargecooler conversion running twin bosch pumps
Decat
ran a departure 2 exhaust for a while, but also an APexi GT and HKS hi power from time to time.

and loads of other bits i either cant remember and spent far too much on!! Never had it on the rollers with the charge cooler fitted sadly, but was hoping for around the 280hp mark. When it was fitted with a SMIC and manual boost controller it pushed out 268hp, but i could never get stable boost with a manual controller. It was silly fast but a bit of a handfull in the wet!

was a great track toy, did some very good 13.3 runs at the pod with that setup.

Sounds like it was a good example!

If I'd have kept it I'd have done more but with getting a house I couldn't keep it sadly :(

I liked the fact it suprised people aswell, some people really didnt expect it to be as quick as it was! Had a drag with my mate in his Exige, he was marginally ahead until 60 but the the tubby just left it.

We were set to go the the ring until he crashed his Exige 2 days before! I'd have loved to have got it on a track, gutted I didn't to be honest!
Do you still get cravings for it and check on Trader for them like me?

im always on pistonheads looking lol

it was great on track, that car used to suprise alot of people in big power stuff, round the twisty parts it was seriously rapid, and would still push 155 flat out on a straight on airfields.

i had to sell mine as well to purchase an house so needed somthing sensible to run around in hence the LCR.

i had the chance to buy my friends MR2 turbo he built and tuned that was 442hp for a very good price.

Im still kicking myself i let that go!! will be back in another MR2 one day, i have had 2 of them and never get bored, for the cash they cost to buy, nothing comes close for "bang for Buck".

my last one cost be £2600 to buy and was driven hard everytime, thrashed on track and at the pod and never once went wrong.

unlike the LCR which seems to develop a new rattle everyday i drive it....

I miss that car

Im currently toying with the idea if getting a DC2 Integra Type R as the LCR isnt really ticking all the boxes :(

Did it have all those bits done for £2600 or did you do that yourself?!

Bang for buck is incredibale with those things, its so easy to make them faster compared to other cars....

I'm sure I saw a 700bhp for sale for around £8k the other day somewhere? I'm sorry my Ferrari man, what was that? I cant hear you over the sound of how fast my pretend Ferrari is......

Ooooh I'd like a DC2, amazing handling cars! Looks good aswell! In white I'm assuming?

came with the ohlins suspension that was about it really. spent far to much on that car!!

like you say, wind the boost up and off you go, stock fuel system was great for 350hp on the MR2s. Amazing engine the 3sgte, was designed and built by Yamaha for Toyota.

none of this electronic driver assistance crap either :funk:

oh yes will be a white import DC2, look alot better than the UK spec ones :D

That car was way ahead of its time...

Steering fog lights, god knows how many safety features in the engine for cambelt problems etc...

Mine already had the bits on, apart from the boost controller and Intercooler, but the guy selling it didn't actually know what he had, or the value of the parts! Which obviously made me smile :funk:

JDM white integra.... nice! Red buckets?

Is it right that Honda have made over 5million VTEC engines and never once had an engine failure caused by Honda, only poor maintenance? I'm sure someone told me that once?

You can pick them up at a really good price aswell now... Bargain really for what your getting!

biggriff

Honda may claim that, but not all failures are reported to them or under their dealerships.

A 0% rate in 5m is just not realistic or probable.

i have heard that as well, not sure how true tho.

The DC2 engines were all handbuilt as well :D Top bit of kit, another car way ahead in terms of design.

can get the early ones from £3.5k or a 98 onwards spec that im after from £5k. :funk:

Yeah I thought it was maybe a bit too impressive to be true, biggriff makes a valid point, sometimes people will simply take it to their local garage.

Either way, to be able to say something like that is still impressive, regardless of that fact they may only include Honda dealers!

I reckon a DC2 would be a brilliant car round here, so many twisty country roads :cartman:

I'm saying the VTEC engine is not impressive, but the last one I had cost me 8 points and a £600 fine !! So they do go a bit....... just not advisable in front of plod
