What did you drive before you joined the LEON stable?

used to like my fords but after the trouble i had with the focus and service from the dealers i decided to look elsewhere. My dads been more than happy with his alhambra (to the point of finaly replacing it with an 06 model) so i thought there must be somthing in it and bought my fr

im still to pick my Leon FR up but this is what im trading in for it

its a 2004 Zafira GSi with a few modifications, it was running around 218bhp butu with only 23/25mpg average its got to go

i will miss her but the fuel economy will be alot better

Mk2 Escort, Mk1 Golf GTI Campaign, Mk2 Golf GTI 8v, Hillman Imp (rally prepped), MGBGT, Fiesta Mk1 Supersport, Metro GTI (memorable cos it didnt crash very well), Audi 80 Sport, Cavalier SRI, Vectra SRI, BMW 528i, BMW 1602, Alhambra, Altea, Alfa 147 . . . then there were (are) the bikes - another story altogether
My FR is the only even nearly new car I have ever owned and big dough for me but so far worth every penny

Wish I had it now, would be worth a few quid it was mint, right from the bulge in the rear panel to the proper tartan seats and square headlights. somebody stop me

In my just over six years of driving I had:

A 1994 Renault Clio 1.9 Diesel (bebop limited edition ohh yeah), no power but I loved that car. It just wanted to take you anywhere you wanted to go, that is until I tried biodiesel in it one day.

Then for a year or so a 2000 Renault Clio Alize 1.4 16v, engine was brilliant, but sooo unreliable.

Then back in May '08 got my candy white FR Tdi

Now got a mk1 cupra and a mk2 leon fr tdi (missus car)

I did have a mitsubishi colt cyborg (172 bhp standard from a 1.6 16v rare as!!) and never had to spend a penny on it other than modifying .
The missus had a new beetle with a red glitter paint job and cream leather (looked smart for a girl but had a 2.0l 8v engine and was slow as hell as weighed about 8 tonnes lol)

There's brand new 09 saab 93's going for 14k, bearing in mind these models are usually 26k i would say thats a good deal, few garages ordered them before Saab got into trouble and they are desperate to get rid of them now.

Erm, Car 1 was a 'MG' Maestro, first car so it was great!!
Car 2 was a Citroen AX GT, great fun and only 85 bhp!!
Car 3 was a Citroen Saxo VTS, great car, remember an Astra Gsi trying it on, ta'ra a bit Astra!!
Car 4, and the one I traded in for the Leon was a Renault Clio 182. Very quick, great handling but almost five years old and needed about a grands worth of work to sort out.

At the same time also owned

6) 1993 Mk2 Golf 1.8 driver - sold on after the summer
7) 1985 Mk1 Golf Gti Cabriolet - still owned - the 'project' car
8) 1989 Audi Coupe 2.2 E - just flogged on Ebay
9) 2001 Perodua Nippa - city car, owned by me driven by the missus - sold to my mother

And picked up two weekends ago...

10) Seat Leon Mk2 1.9TDi Ecomotive.

So currently only owning the 3 cars - had 5 at one point...crazy...
