you can switch off your service light with a combination of left and right on the clock adjuster on the clusters. cant remember the combination though...

i think we're scraping the sides now...

anyone know the answer to this?

cheers

It only switches them off for the next time you arm the system - as you're about to shut the door, press the button then lock the car and the sensors will be disabled. The time after that, they'll be back on again, unless you press the button again.

If you want the sensors off permanently, I think that's a VAG-COM job.

The passenger mirror pointing down to the kerb when reverse is selected was standard in very early cars (like my first one in 2000) and I think quietly dropped when the Sport/Cupra designations were combined. Similarly, the headphone sockets were standard in all Leons at first, but disappeared (along with the radio display in the instrument cluster) - I think the holes were still there, but just no sockets in them!

come on guys everyone is chatting about mpg....boring...

off the top of my head....

1. putting key in drivers door, turn left windows go down and vice versa.
2. if you try racing drivers window and passenger window (on auto and when shutting) drivers side wins
3. putting your foot down when engine is cold in the winter, steams up the rear window
4. if you fold your mirrors in (lcr) then turn the engine off, but with the keys still in ignition...the mirrors fold out again.....

5. after turning engine off and removing keys..you have around 10 secs to shut windows and mirrors electronically
6. handbrake beeps when engaged and driving off
7 releasing the door lock twice allows you to leave the car
8. driving slowly for a few days makes the car perform better when you floor it....

there you go beat that

Not sure about that, I didn't know about it at first and locked the car with the gf in there as I went to pay for petrol. She hardly moved and it went off.

If you unlock your car and don't open it within 30 seconds or so it locks its self again.
The OEM ride eight is 2mm higher at the passengers side as these cars were designed to be left hand drive.

1.should never leave steering on full lock for more than 20 secs cos you will fry the power steering fluid...

2. LCR responds better on part throttle...
3. fuel cap beeps if left open
4. standard rear suspension always creaked in the wet
