Nice to see you are thinking of defecting to SEAT, I can't recommend it enough [B)]

1. Yer wet carpets or damp smelly
2. central locking and power windows all work inclucing remotes
3 all dials on dash work
4 boot lock unlocks and opens
5 air con actually works
6 drive it to see if any warning lights come on and drive ir from COLD
make sure it is cold by touching the block!
7 oil is clean
8 it does not overheat when it is hot and fan cuts in
9 no oil in expansion tank
10 brake condition juddering etc pad thickness
11 look down the sides of the car for signs of repairs/orange peel etc
just look at everything basically, if your going to but a nice 2ndhand car
make sure its a good one if indoubt get it inspected by rec/aa

From that list it sounds like Im buying a 306!
