Running the THS FR3 mounts and I'm very pleased with the results. There's been hardly any increase in vibrations and traction is much better especially in the dry with almost all of the wheelhop now gone. E-mail them as well for a SCN discount code before ordering.

I'm still on standard power but Robdon has these mounts on his Leon, which has been heavily modified. If you check his thread he'll give you a better idea of how they've performed on a more powerful car.

As above, the THS ones seem to be the better choice just now, unless your looking for more race spec ones, then Vibratecs are the better choice.

I'm running the top 2 THS with a very hard powerflex mount in the dogbone.

Drives nice the only vibration is on pull away and its not that bad at all.

INA track density mounts with the front bush of the dogbone replaced with the solid super-pro one. Vibrations are noticeable, but not offensive; traction is vastly improved, no more wheel hop at all!!

i too am using the THS FR3 mounts and really happy with them. barely any vibration felt in the car and the wheel hop which was really bad on mine with the oem mounts in has now all gone with the THS mounts. good price too with the SCN discount :)

just make sure whoever fits them torques them up to the correct torque settings, or you may suffer the same problem as me with bolts snapped and engine not where its supposed to be :(

I'm thinking about this mod as well, quick question regarding the THS FR3 set - is that all I'd need to buy or do I need more bolts, washers, bushes, anything else too?

You are supposed to replace the bolts for new ones although I don't think many people bother.

Get the bolts too, these are going to be torqued and stretched, its bad enough doing this without using old bolts, twitchy bum time.

The bolts are so cheap and the repair so expensive its not worth using the old ones

Willie, you don't happen to know off hand the size and pitch of the bolts for the engine side upper mount that bolt into the block do you? I need a helicoil.. :(

N10209603 - M12 x 1.5mm, 65mm long. 4 of these.

N90596902 - M10 bolts 55mm long. 4 of these.

N10155901 - M8 bolts 20mm long. 2 of these.

These are the OE bolts required when changing both engine mounts. Unless you're using similar high tensile bolts i'd just get new OE bolts.

Dogbone mount bolts:

N10268302 - M8 bolts 45mm long. 2 of.

N90597001 - M10 bolt, 70mm long. 1 of.

N10246603 - M10 bolt, 30mm long. 1 of.

I'm on the THS mounts and have zero complaints about them. tried the INA street density mounts which fell apart and were awful, caused a blown turbo gasket. Tried the track mounts but they were way too hard. THS mounts are perfect fast road mounts, excellent price too. Vibratechnics mounts are probably very good but they are twice the price of the THS mounts - twice as good ... doubt it.
