Probably going the hybrid route, might have tried the K04-023 but now i have bought the ko3 hi-flow mani and the ko4 wont fit it.
A properly-engineered hybrid would out-perform a -023 anyway. The right design will net you 260+ to the wheels.
Hi people after Reading this thread it has explained a few things, I rang up a few well known vag tuners and asked them about getting my ko3s hybrid the replys I got were basically don't bother but now I realise they were talking about the k04-001 not the 023 internals inside my ko3s housing which would give a higher bhp. What company actually does this hybrid conversion?
Unfortunately, there is no standard for the jargon. In the UK, it is common practice to call a modded K03 turbo a "Hybrid K03". Here in the States, we more often go with "K04". It's a marketing question, really.

Yes. C R Turbo is one option. There is a good deal of information about their offerings in the Badger5 "marketplace" forum.
Maybe you could just use a tapered joiner on the old TIP instead of a new one....I'm not really sure to be honest.
I would just budget the new tip probably a lcr one in with the cost, (i should get a bit back from my lc one) i did know where to by a 80mm maf housing @ about £30 but cant remember where from now

I'm tempted to do a write up of what exactly you need for a hybrid k03 conversion as I am getting tired of the same questions over again. Make it a sticky and then point everyone towards it that's asks about it along with the true cost of doing the work
