What Remap?

Hello guys!! I wonder if you guys can throw a bit of light on this for me? I've got an 03 210 LCR, and I'm planning to have it remapped very soon. Any suggestions as to what is the best remap? Things like, smooth power delivery, with minimul torque spikes etc...

From what I can gather P-Torque and CC are 2 of the smoothest maps.

Is price an issue ?

Will you treat the car to hi grade petrol every week ?

Tried APR's map and it was brilliant, loads of power but quite abrupt.

Got P-Torque on the car now, plenty of smooth power up to the red line and a very keen price.

I'm in kent actually, AMD is high in the list at the mo, spoke to the chap on the stand at autosport/pistonheads show last weekend. Was impressed that they rolling road you're motor, both before and after!!!

Price isn't too much of an issue, so that's ok, within reason obviously. I had a VR6 golf for the last 3.5 years, and she only ever had vpower or tesco 99ron, so yeah I will be, and am at present actually, they even seem to run better standard on that stuff in my opinion!!

just had my car remaped from revos 5 hour trial and couldnt believe the difference it made the turbo boost was amazin havent done any mods to the engine yet though totally standard but it was still amazin it be scarily fast with some mods

AmD Essex here aswell. They've got a rolling road day next month come along. The details are in the southern meet section. The 5 hrs is a good idea/tester but pretty much all maps work better after a wk or so as they start to settle down

Thanks for that mate!! Incidentally, the chap on the AMD stand at the autosport/pistonheads show, actually asked if I was on this forum, and suggested I got in touch with you're good self! I'm taking it, that it really does make quite a difference to the acceleration etc.... then!!?

But you have a stage 2 Revo map Ben with loads of other stuff done

Just to give you an idea mate, mine is a 210 Lcr also and with all the mod's in my sig minus the coldside the AmD map gave me 260bhp/260ft/lb's on a humid day. As D.K said figures on paper mean nothing it's all about how the map delivers the power and torque, the AmD map delivers it all the way to the red line, where as the revo seems to die off earlier (not quite as smooth)

The Revo doesnt die off on mine dave but mines set up different,have to let you have ago in mine dave
