what size sump plug?

im going to be servicing my car at the weekend for the first time and i was wondering what size the sump plug is as ill probably replace it and the washer, is it m14???
also i was wondering what is best way to drain oil as ill only have a trolley jack i was thinking that i wont get all the oil out as it will be uneven

The sump plug on my LCR is an M14, yours should be the same.

Moste cars have a M14x1.5 sump plug.

Vag dealers usually change the sump plug every time they service a car as the washer is secured on the sump plug. Use a 19mm socket to get it off.

If it were me get a magnetic one from awsome gti. Much better

Really wouldn't advise getting under your car with just one trolley jack supporting it.
It freaks me out a little being under there with 2 axle stands that are 2T rated.
Minimum get 2 axle stands to support the car, these are about £20 from Halfrauds.
Is saving £20 really worth the risk????
