I have decided that im going to lower my car to barely driveable low (no speed bumps near me woop) ive got 120mm drop coil overs but stuck on what size wheels to get, i was thinking 14" (steelies) or 15" (g60) with an 8-9j and not too low profile tyres if possible, what would people on here reccomend/advice?? thanks chris

i wud go for 15'' bbs in chrome with 185/45. ive seen ibizas lowered 110mm rear and 90mm front with those on. you will have to roll your wheel arches tho.

Ive got mk2 golf gti 14's on my car at the moment they might come off when my alloys are refurbed. Theyre on 185/60's which are damn cheap for tyres. You could go 185/55 if you wanted to go a bit lower. The good thing about these is you will not be risking the need for arch rolling.

16s! Ive got 9j rear and 7.5 front 16s and think they fit perfect

Ive had some deep dish 15s with stretched tyres and find the 16s fit much much better! Just my opinion, id stay away from 14s! leave them for a small car like mk1 golfs!

if your planning on putting bigger brakes on u will need at least 15'' with decent offset to fit over the calipers. i found that out when trying to fit sum cheap wheels on my last ibiza.

Won't fit 15" wheels without spacer in the majority of cases. You'll need 16's minimum to clear big brakes

i had some cheapo tsw's 5 spoke 6.5'' width with 185/45 tyres on my old ibiza and they fitted nicely without catchin wheel arches. also had team dynamics 20 spoke wheels 7'' wide with 205/40 with car lowered 40mm and they were 17s so they were catchin wheel arches.

Mate, you looked in the edition38 classifieds? There's loads of banded steels on there at the mo! For the money of buying them or getting some banded I'd get some lighter wheels as they weigh loads!
