What spacers - 8.5" fronts + 9.5" rears (ET40)

Morning all,

I've got a set of staggered bbs reps (reps ftw), 8.5" fronts & 9.5" rears with ET40 offset, any ideas on what spacers, if any, I will need for them to fit an FR/FR+?

Tyres will probably be 225/40/18s on all of them so ever so slightly stretched

Thanks in advance, these were meant to go on my TT but seeing as i'm getting shot of that I figured I may as well see if they'll fit a Leon!

I have 15mm all round on 8" fronts and 9" rears, et35 and there's plenty of clearance, so 20mm+ should be ok. Can you trial fit a wheel with different size spacers on?

Also, 225s on my 9" rears are only slightly stretched, depends how much of a stretch look you want but 215s on the front might be better.

Thanks very much, just a hint of reassurance that they'll go on ok-ish is all I needed!

I've not bought a Leon yet but am in the market for one, if these size wheels were going to prove difficult fitment wise I would sell them to go towards a Leon so needed to know!

And thanks for the insight on the tyre size, I'll see if I can find photos of different size tyres on these widths somewhere on the Internet!

Sorry for the delay in replying, not been on for a while. If you haven't found it yet Tyre Stretch has a library of pictures of different size tyres on different width rims. Not all sizes are covered but most that you would want to look for. HTH!
