i've just had the coils reiplaced on my 2003 1.2 seat ibiza.
My plugs now need replacing and the shop sold me the wrong plugs. (NGK Zsomething)
The plugs that are in my car at the moment are Bosch fr7he2 and they are not made anymore.
Can anyone tell me what plugs i need?

3 cylinder AZQ engine ?

listed as Bosch 'longlife' F7HER2

looking in catalouge for application confirms NGK cross reference = ZFR5P-G

I've got those ones, however the car just misfires again and when i get the spark plugs out they have black sut on?

Well maybe the black plugs are the effect not the root cause - maybe look elsewhere for the problem. BTW I have never found NGK plugs to be inferior to Bosch - its really Japan versus German - and VAG give the thumbs up to NGK for plugs and lambda probes.

Hi JayJay,

Did you ever get to the bottom of the cause of your spark plugs having sut on them?

I have a misfiring 1.2 2002 Polo (AWY) and am in the process of replacing the plugs and pencil coils but the plugs are just like mentioned.

I was wondering if it could be the coolant temperature sensor that is faulty as I think this would make the car run rich and thus produce sut!

Thanks,

Ian
