I agree with Mr Cellotape, - like him I drove them back to back...

The cupra seems so much more sophisticated, the power delivery is effortless, like a mini-supercar whereas in type R you have to work too hard...it's a boy-racer car methinks (though would be a good track-day car).

Interior on Civic is much more cheerful though I don't care for the "Star Trek" instruments.

I wont be tuning it djhorace, like to keep them standard.

If keeping standard I would go for the type r.

To get the best of the Cupra you have to remap it. Completely transforms the car!
