I bought an anti tamper bit set from eBay,it was about £10 and it's got loads of dodgy bits in including the one you need

The spring clamp on the intake hose can be removed easily enough with a pair of mole grips or similar.

Just don't let it spring from the jaws as it's a major PITA to compress it again, as the tabs go really far apart.

Jubilee clip is better though. :D

i used some mole grips on the screws. worked a treat. didnt have spring clips so maybe it was changed recently. it was very clean so probably wasted my time but had a sense of achievement after donig it! :)

get a T20 anti tamper screw bit saves lots of time. by some electrical solvent cleaner from maplins 3.99 . when you go to unplug the sensor from the cable it was really stiff , just pull it you will not break it. i had to pull with some force to get it off. if you are cleaning the housing and the sensor i would still recommend taking the sensor out. spray all over it even in the grooves. wipe over with lint free cloth removing dirt. spray again and wait till sensor drys. as for the housing unscrew bolts from pipe , take clip off pull with small ammount of force it will come out eventually. spray all through the housing on both metal parts. same rule wait till it dry's. then put the housing back and re screw it all back in. then put the maf sensor in last. and re attatch cable/plug. then good to go . just be gentle when cleaning as it is very easy to break i belive.

Are we sure this is a T20 security bit. I have a set and none of them fit. I'm sure the screw is a 5 start when the torx are 6?

Anyone got a link to the extact tool they used?

Cheers

I just used a pair of pliers to grip the outside edge of the screw and undo it, granted it's by far the proper way of doing things but it worked fine.
