Rosso's here, I swear by them i always use them regardless of cost i usually get 10,000 miles out of a front set which i think is good as LCR's munch through tyres at quite a rate!!!!

Cooper tyres are good value. Around 50-55 quid for a Cupra and havent got any complaints. They are just as good as the continental tyres i had on my car when i brought it and for nearly half the price

I've driving about 5000 km on my new Michelin Pilot Sport 3, not quite the cheapest tyre, but they do grip very well around corners and at takeoff.

Im running 225/40/18 Falken FK452's allround, Wet and Dry grip is exeptional, Road noise is better than the Dunlop Sport Maxx's i had on the standard 17" wheels.

I push my car hard at times into corners and all i know is they grip like **** to a blanket so im happy, £65 each at Camskill im a happy man!!

Ive run michelin ps since having car now for over 4 years, they are a good tyre but expensive, ive just switched to goodyear F1 asyemetric and personally think they have the edge on the michelins, doesnt seem to be as much flexing in sidewall.
Also from a non scientific test going round a couple of corners with the michelins on it would try to activate esp, on same corners, same conditions goodyears dont. Make of that what you want, but i would think maybe goodyears have the edge on dry grip over the michelin.

Well finally purchased a set of tyres. Went for the Pirelli P-Zero Neros in the end, slightly more expensive than the Rossos but for £200 for 4 with 6-7mm tread can't go wrong! Wet and dry grip is excellent, alot better than the previous tyres i had on. Road noise is also considerablly less. Thanks to everyone for the advice. Much appreciated.

the p zero neros are not to bad, i've not used them personally but my mate swore by them on his focus st
for me it would have to be yokohama prada spec2

have heard the vredestein ultrac sessantas are suppose to be really really good though, a lot of people running massive power use these. i 1st saw them on a 500whp audi s3 and thought they were budgets..... till i realised they were not lol........ and they are about 15quid a corner cheaper than the yokohamas. i'll be going with these next
