seat made these themselves.. they where track demos..
came with a full roll cage and harnesses.
jennings seat in middlesbrough (where i used to work at the time) bought 6 of them before selling them on to a autodrome. who then sold them on to the public as the cupra rs where to big for there cuircuit
that particular car in the pic the owner had 2.. he swapped the rollcage to a plain yellow ovni cupra r and had them both for sale
when i got sent to warwick to test drive the altea on the prodrive track they where using these to go around the track as a pace car.
Initially i thought it was just awful graphics someone had put on before he bought it but have seen a silver and another yellow one since with the same. Personally i dont like but each to their own i suppose!!
The 210 onautotrader now belongs to me. Just the decals graphics, no other extras standard mcstandard. The dacals i believe are what were on the touring cars. In the flesh they actually look very good. If they were press cars then they were blody well looked after the car is like new one owner and pampered.
apparently the very very first LCRs in the country were GJ02 N** ... which mine is, (explains the optional extras i have), but no performance gain i believe...the cupra decals just look like stickers....
most of these cars came like that from brand new and were all originally registered to selected seat dealerships.
most would have been registered on 02 or 52.
all of them were in yellow.
most of them were used at Brands Hatch and Silverstone.
70% came with roll cage and no back seats and had 275bhp and stiffer suspension setup.
PLEASE note, it is not someones Frankeinstein wet job.
