If i fitted a 3" MAF to my car

Current spec is, blueflame turbo bk,forge fmic,forge tip,BMC,forge Split R,APR Stage 2 ecu.

would there not be a problem with it fitting to the tip, seeing as they would be different diameters?? would you not require an s3 tip or summat?

For the same volume of air to enter your turbo, it will flow slower through a 3" MAF. Your ECU will therefore see less air coming in and add less fuel. Your engine will run lean.

trigboy - I wouldnt think so,as jbs use ibiza tip and 3" Maf

You'd have to have it remapped to suit the MAF.

There was another post somewhere discussing about the 4 bar FPR and alot of people said its not needed for a stage 2 but recommended for the highest performance gain possible.

Around £50 I believe for a 4bar fpr

I think some of the leon R's came with them...

Do a searchy I am sure its been talked of. Also on the mains SCN site there is examples of Morks showing diff between std TIP and uprated TIP.

their is no point you getting a 4Bar FPR with APR software, stage 1 or 2 it doesnt require one and is not mapped for one

As dave said, if your map doesnt require one, dont fit one.

agree with others.
you will need to have it remapped as the maf will read incorrectly.
(ie slower air movement for same volume).

and you wouldnt necessarily get a gain.
