03 plate my03 cupras are still selling for £9-10,000. so you cant tell me 9,500 is expensive for an R, the cupra R is just so much more car for the money, and thats not knocking the cupra either cos thats a very good car for the money, i paid £10400 for my "210" JAN 03 52 PLATE 22000 on the clock, and its worth every penny, just had it rolling roaded at star performance and it put out 225bhp + 221lbs torque, so go for it mate, it could be worse you could end up with a civic, ha ha. 
Again, I would say go for it at that price. But go over the black paintwork with a fine-toothed comb and make sure you are happy with everything. Speaking as a fellow black Cupra R owner, the paint quality is terrible and you just need to brush against the car and you have a white scratch that won't T-Cut out.
