hi folks, got a 1998 S plate 2.0l 8v Ibiza, had a knocking/banging noise for ages coming from the front, thought it was the suspension top mounts, so changed them - no different.
Took the car to local garage who saw it was the lower suspension arm bushes that had completely gone, so had them replace them. Whilst they where at it, they found the "offside antiroll bar drop link" had snapped. They've had it nearly 5 weeks now because apparently the part is on back order at the factory - none in any UK dealers.
Does anyone know where I can get one (websites etc)?
What do they look like/how much are they? cheers

Its the rod that attaches the end of the anti roll bar to the wishbones on your car. Normally with a rosejointed end. The best option would be to try another Seat dealership to double check on the back order, otherwise try someone like German Swedish and French or Euro carparts, i'd pretty much guarentee they should be able to get one for you by next day latest.

had to have both replaced on the Polo recently. wonder if they are the same part as the Ibiza? If so, could try a VW garage (or Skoda if it's same as Fabia).

rang GSF, £9 plus VAt each. Nipped down at dinner & got one - a metal rod about a foot long with what looks like a ball joint on each end - sound about right?
