fellas, the v shaped pipe on the right, the connecting pipe which iv got temp bodged with a bit of hose pipe :cartman: wheres the pipe thats snapped go to? what is it? where can i get it and for how much? and would this be causing occasional limp mode since iv had the map done? thank you in advance :D

its the thinner one that is going down the front of the engine thats goosed? whats that one? u reckon that could cause limp mode, only occassionally, im also thinkin could be the 007 as i havent changed the spring yet

it goes to the pcv valve and onto the oil filter housing. it is a vac leak if split, will cause lumpy running.

i think forge do a replacement, but id just buy some 19mm oil resistant silicone and replace that way.

its completely snapped, just got that bit of hose stuck in it at the min so at least theres something, you reckon that could be the cause of the limp? 19 mil silicone eh, cool il get some ordered, a meter will do wont it? the limp mode is every now and then, i can boot the car all over and get no probs, then when i drive it steady for a bit then try to boot it occassionaly the power has gone, quick flick of the key and the powers back

cant see it causing limp, the y shaped pipe ( crankcase breather) snapped on mine and didnt cause limp.

as said its a vac leak so will run lean and timing retarded so will feel slower and sluggish.

did they map it with the hosepipe in? no pre diagnostic on the map?

no idea mate, i told them of the prob and was told that it may throw up a problem once the map was done, which was fair enough, he said could possibly be n75 as in 5th and 6th the boost backs off a little, then goes full again, but i mean literally for half of half a second lol, or im thinking could be the DV as im still running the green spring?

i think the green spring may not be strong enough for the map mate. Could be staying open and allowing a little boost to escape back through at a guess?

That's what was causing my S3 to go into limp mode, the previous owner had changed turbo, n75, and loads of bits!!

It changed the plastic pipe shown and all is good!
