Bugger me, well not literally, but driving home last night and heard the distinctive whine of a wheel bearing on its way out.

Is that covered under warranty, o should i just keep Schtum when i drop it in for part ex. They never even started the engine when they did the deal, or to think of it they never even opened the car ( silly really) my mate said there boss ALWAYS drives a potential part ex. seems wierd that they did'nt. I dunno.

they'll fix it under warrantee - so it makes no odds.

I think it might be one of the few things they pick up on the 101 point check (ha)

101 point check, yeah i was told about that on my new one. a whole 101 points, not 99 not 100 but 101.

to be honest they best make it a 1001 point check on my one, but hey, they never looked over the car fully, so there fault.

also i got to go to Oxford on tuesday which is 250 miles roundtrip. I know the bearing may collapse, but if i take it steady will i be ok for that distance?

Worn tyres can give the same noises as a worn wheel bearing. How much tread left?

Mmmm true.
But the wheel bearing is covered.
If you have different alloys on though it would be a different matter ;)
So make sure you replace to the standard ones if anyone has this issue.
I wont tell if you dont ;)

Does that still be the same if they where seat alloys? e.g going from Fr to Cupra wheels or the Seat sport oz wheels?

Actually it may be the wheel, as i put Devonmikeys spare on the front, and thats the side its coming from, i think it might be from this , tread is ok,

But i kept the Pirelli's for myself, they have the **** on it. i ain't silly.

Just off to go and strip the last bis out of it now. map lights, golf damed grab handles and a few other odds and sods. least its sunny

Just sold it to James on here for £350 including delivery, think he got a bargain there, but least it went to someone off here who can use it properly. best go take it off instead of sitting by the radiator and messing on here.

Its cold!!!!!! Doh.
