So I just about got home by driving really slow and got VAGCOM onto it, this is what came up for the reason of ABS light coming up. Codes cannot be cleared as they just come back up. Now would this be the cause for the Traction and tyre pressure light to come on aswell?

Can this easily be fixed and where are these located? This was all caused by the snow and build up in the arches.

Still need to find out why my brake pedal goes to the floor to apply pressure :(

Any advice on this?

Sounds a bit odd that you have 3 sensors gone down at once. Jack up each wheel and check it on vag com in measuring blocks for abs and manually spin each wheel up to check the sensors. Sensors are a piece of piss to change just wheel off most sensors are on top of the hub 1 bolts bit of wd40 and a wiggle and its out!

Thats what Im thinking its odd, going to leave it parked till the weekend now. Will take each one off and clean them to see if that helps and reset with VAGCOM.

This should hopefully turn off all the lights then right? If these lights are on, do the ESP button and Tyre Pressure button still work or not? As mine dont.

The g201 code is if the pressure sensor has failed.
I maybe totally wrong but I'd say either abs control unit or the wiring is damaged.
Could the control unit plug have water in?
Personally I think I'd disconnect one sensor and see if vcds knows its unplugged or if the code stays the same.

The control unit plug is at the abs unit behind the battery on the passenger side against the bulkhead.
Definitely worth unplugging a sensor to see if the code changes to open circuit.
Strange why they all say mechanical failure!

The big connector? My mate took that off and put it back on after work, didnt look like water was on there. It does say intermittent too so that shows a little hope.

Would these have an effect on the 2 buttons ESP and tyre pressure?

ESP and tyre pressure warning won't work with a abs error as both are done through the control unit which needs wheel speed.
Just searched the net it seems people usually just delete the codes and others have required a new abs ecu.
I couldn't fully understand but somebody mentions all the abs speed sensor wires run through a connection under the bonnet.
If that's true that's where your problem will be.
Worth a look.

My ABS pump went on the car in June last year. Fortunately i had warranty on the car and it was sorted. They do a repair kit or the unit now instead of replacing it in it's entireity which is cheaper.

looking at what is says ie mechanical failure that normaly looks to be the sensor reading the reader ring on the wheel beatings if the sensor or wiring fails it normaly comes up with electrical failure .try cleaning sensor and the area where the sensor reads off

That's what I would normally say but to have 3 at the same time is strange.
That's why I've asked to unplug one to see if the code changes.

Well, I went out to the car this morning to move it to a safe parking place and there was no light on the dash, maybe thats because I only moved about 50ft and the sensors didnt go off. So temporarily the lights are off atm. Looks like a clean up job. Yesterday whenever I put the key in the light stayed on even after I did VAGCOM so something has changed today :S

Having the same issue but only on front right. Trying a clean up of the sensor and ring this weekend, looks like an easy DIY. Fingers crossed that sorts it.

Any joy with this? My front rights showing problems, replaced sensor, no joy, where does the cable run once it goes into engine bay?

I had to change hub and sensor and mine was sorted, the rear passenger has started to play up a lil and shows up as electrical fault so guessing is the sensor this time round for sure. But its intermittent so due to weather i cba dealing with it atm

Yeah, started at the front drivers and found a big gap in the sensor ring on the hub. Changed the hub and all back to normal.
