Where are you buying key batteries?

Hi

Where is everyone buying the replacement key batteries? I got a msg saying 'replace key battery ' about a week ago, and got some genuine 2032 that are only lasting 5 to 8 days before I get the message again. These are lithium Duracell from a source I mostly trust ( freaking Sainsbury's).

Where are you getting the batteries? I prefer the 8 - 9 month life cycle much much more than 1 week!

I’ve seen Varta CR2032 coin cell batteries get good reviews on some of the VW forums. They‘re reasonably priced too - currently £4.39 at Screwfix for a pack of four. I have some ready to use when the Duracell‘s in my key fobs need replacing.

Alternate use of your keys if both don’t get used regularly.

I buy off Amazon, but never a cheap no-name brand.

Amazon here, Prime, Duracell. Seem fine but you won't get more than a year out of them. Kessy is heavy on the battery. Always carry a spare on your person.
