Im thinking about maybe getting some coilovers for my mk4 ibiza cupra, and am wondering where are good places to get them from??

i've heard big boys toys are supposed to be pretty good

also, what are a decent set of coilovers?? Im considering FK coilovers as im wanting a decent drop...similar to Ad_lav and Rashcupra have as im wanting to go for a 'euro' look

Thanks

JKM or Big Boys Toys.

Weitec don't lower as much as KW or FK though, they are good though.

MikeyH has got some and his still needs lowering more - imo anyway ;)

We can supply wither Eibach's, KW's, Weitecs etc. As mentioned above the Fk's lower more than any others, but also the quality isnt quite up to the level of the others. Weitec are made by KW so you know the quality is good and the price is very reasonable for them.

see i dont get that as my fk's are second hand and they are MINT i love em! much better than stadard suspension for comfortability handling and drivability (WHEN ADJUSTER CUPS ARE IN THE REAR ) theyve taken alot of abuse and never had a problem no knocking no nothing 100% happy customer but i have heard alot of people commenting on quality on the fk's so people must have bad exsperiances with them but me and lav are happy arent we lav :D

i must admit, i did like to look of ad_lav's ibiza at the meet, is the sort of drop im aiming for really, nice and low

like you said about the remap, people will stick up for the remap/coilovers/exhaust, etc that they have on their car, and everyone has there own personal preferences

Hello Cupra Jay,

We can supply Koni Coilovers if you like. These are in stock at our suppliers and we can get them to you for early next week, they are a good coilover that we recommend. In fact they are fitted to a few staff cars here :)

how low do the Koni's drop? are they similar to the FK's??

Try here also for FK http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/products/product_info.mhtml?id=179247

Looks like you get shorter drop links within the kit, but never trust a picture....

what difference do the shorter drop links make??? sorry, im not very clued up on the whole suspension thing!

With coilovers you can adjust them to what ride height you are comfortable with. Koni say maximum adjustment drop of up 60mm. We dont advise you go too low however as it will affect the drive of the car. Coilovers are great for allowing you to adjust ride height to a level thats suitable for you.

yeah, i no what you mean. im looking for a decent drop so when i go to shows, meets, etc i can drop the car on the floor and for everyday driving i can have the ar sitting low, but is driveable and can get over speedbumps

Doesn't matter which coilover you go for (except V-maxx maybe), but for every day use keep the adjuster in place on the back (there are limitations for the front axile). Then when going to shows, take the adjuster cup ring off then it will sit lower, quick 10-30mins job.

yeah thats what i was planning on doing after chatting to rash at a meet we where at last sunday

There's a few Evolution R and HotTuning sets on Ebay. Only a little over £200 which is why I'm tempted but they could be made out of balsa wood or something.

i tink they will be alright! ^^^ if they do go tits up itl only handle a little worse but probably still alot better than standard suspension!! if they do go tits up which i doubt for at LEAST 3-4months then just save up for more exspensive set
