So i have recently (today) bought myself a nice 1.8 20vT Leon, but i am toying with the idea of putting a dump valve or a flutter valve on it. Now i have searched on the tube of you and i can not find a DECENT video of a DV or FV going off without a big exhaust sound.
You can't fit atmospheric dump valves on these engines mate, the ecu will throw a hissy fit thinking there is a boost leak.
Your best bet is to get an open cone filter (Jetex of similar) and a Forge 007p Recirculating Valve. They can sound quite loud but nothing like an Evo or Scoob.
You can fit a 50/50 valve easily, i have.
My GFB 50/50 as been on nearly two years now without fault.
But you really need an open cone filter to get the louder noise.
