I have a 2004 Leon Cupra TDi and am looking at buying some EBC pads but need to know which ones as on the website there are two year ranges, 2003-2005 and 2002-2005.

Anyway the So is it these or is it these.

Also, greenstuff ok? It's that or OEM pads on EBC disks, can't afford Fedoro.

I get a discount on EMC products, around 25% which is just too much to turn down. Even if they're not the best I'm sure they'll be better than OEM?

Fedoro are £118 a pair. So depending on which pads it is the difference is between £30 and £60.

EBC normally recommend their Redstuff for anything with 200 BHP +, and Greenstuff for under that. However I know that Octavia vRS drivers (similar chassis), with 150+ HP, use Reds instead of Greens. I would personally go for the upgrade, Redstuff.

If your not sure about which age, you could either have a look on the calipers for makes/types or take a pad out and measure them. Looking at those links one of them is made by Brembo. If you are still stuck give EBC an e-mail on, Technical at EBCBrakes.com (obviously replace at with @).

We have used EBC pads and disc in all of our cars (AX, Scoobie, and my Metro and Furby vRS) with no problems. They suit our driving style, produce less dust and are kinder to discs.

Might give the reds ago, struggling to get hold of caliper carriers to upgrade to 312mm right now though - why don't breakers ever call back?

Incidentally post 2 mentioned Mintex, appears brakesint.com sell them as their sport pads.
