Hi. I have just joined you here and have found some helpful info so far.

I have a 2003 ibiza TDI 130 and am considering an ecu remap.
Any recommendations as to who would be best to use and advice on other advisable mechanical changes to the engine.

Cheers:)

Im getting a custom code (phaze 1) re-map this week on my 110tdi so ill let you know how it goes!

i was just about to post the exact same question!!
how do you know which remap to go for??? Do they deliver different torque/power curves?? for example, do some tuners tune them so they are more smooth power delivery and pull stronger when higher up the rev range or do they just resemble the standard power delivery but more of it????
Which ones best?? which one offers the most gains?? is there any problems with any of them??
My VAG addict mate seems to think the AmD is the best but theres loads available and i'm unsure which to go for...

HEEEEEELP!

From what i can gather the REVO is quite a harsh map whereas Custom code is quite a smooth map, you could try the revo trial and see what you think. I'll be getting CC'd in the next few weeks. Plus it depends on where your nearest tuner is, i know CC now have mobile tuners.

Don't forget about the clutch issues if you are going over 300 lb/ft torque.

There's no Revo trial on the diesel engines.

I had Revo on my last Ibiza and it absolutely flew, but so far I've resisted on my Cupra as I've been sorting the handling first.

well, as far as i know, there are REVO, AmD, jabba sport? what others are there?? i presume they're alll pretty similar priced??

I think when going for a remap the best thing to do is stick to a popular brand and see what peoples experience is with them.

I personally would go for Custom Code for my PD130 Ibiza... but I still enjoy the standard power and I've had it a year and a half.

I would say Custom-Code :D

We are offering a 30% discount at the moment (even more temptation) the usual retail is £446.50inc VAT but with the 30% it comes to £312.55inc VAT

We will be offering remap at GTI Inters on the day if you are going to be there?

Not only that if you cannot make it to one of our agents due to work commitments we can offer the mobile tuning service at no extra charge and have it done at a work or home premises. :D

One other thing I would recommend with the remap would be a Green Cotton air filter which costs an extra £41.71inc VAT

If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call on 01246 455004

Regards
Custom-Code

I had a Custom Code remap with Green Cotton panel filter fit to my Ibiza Cupra TDI about December time I think it was. 8.5 miles later and loving it. Power delivery is very smooth and it's easy to turn on/off with a Laptop on a PD engine which I do each time the car goes into the dealers to stop them ragging it as much.

I had my 1.4TDi remapped by Will at p-torque and he did a fantastic job and as far as I'm aware its £265 all in but you'd have to get in touch with him to ask! also have to be able to travel over to Wolverhampton area :)

Hey Johnboy

The P-Torque re-map is just £265 all in for members.

2 members recently went to 2 different Dyno's and made 184bhp/186bhp and 292lbs/ft and 298lbs/ft

Considering the stock clutch is rated at 300 lbs/ft, these figures are perfect, with power delivered smoothly with no early ''tail off'' You can see from the graph that power is still being delivered at 4500rpm

All customers test drive the car after the mapping, so if you're not happy, don't pay ;)
