Well a Cordoba is lightweight, but my ICE install isn't

The VR6 will sounds VERY good... so it will complement the inivitable comp standard sound syste,

As for prices, well the plan would be, buy a cheap but running Mk3 golf and transplant the engine and wheel hub components to get me the 5 studs I need for the wheels I want.

So anything up to £1700 or so for a running VR6 would be slightly cheaper than a 20vt and I'd have a rolling golf shell etc that I could sell.

i would say VR6,

As in all honesty 1.8T is nothing new as standard in Euro Cordoba Cupra's

There were even some cheap R32 engines flying around on ebay, although the weight may effect the handling.

I know your tending to lean towards the VR6 but this seems cheap for what you get

just make sure you check every nut he tightens,he has been know to leave 4 out of 4 wheels nuts hand tight
vr6 ,cheaper and probably easier to do,probably better balanced in the cordoba than the ibiza too.

Theres a Polo with a VR6 in round here and it sounds Awesome.

Besides the bike engine won't have enough torque to get the Cordy moving with all of your ICE in it.
