Depends which ones your talking about, if you take esso extreme as am example, the only real difference between that and normal esso diesel is the extreme has twice the amount of detergents it

Use Tesco diesel in company Passat (clubcard points :D ) and its on 78k now (62 plate) and not grenaded itself yet..... dunno if I'd use it to wash me shreddies though...... :D

Yep so do I, no point paying extra for premium derv just for the placebo effect, with may be the exception of BP premium derv, which does actually have a slightly higher cetane number than regular BP derv
(I'm talking about performance gains, it may or may not be beneficial to pay the extra for a premium derv for the extra detergents depending on your point of view)

Shreddies ? Are we talking pants or breakfast cereal, if we're talking pants it could get interesting if lighting farts on a drunken Saturday night piss up :blink:if

Can't really comment on washing stuff with it, but it makes a cracking weedkiller :D

just be aware of how far down you have to brake for the clutch pack to disengage vs how lightly you have to press for the start stop not to kick in.

ok, tried and with stop/start disabled noted 950rpm with light brake pressure dropping to 700rpm with more. stop/start activates from around 900-850rpm. lesson learned :)
