that's because you purchased the 8k set. the higher up the range you go, the less light you'll throw on the road to see. Only reason people buy in the higher range is to get more of a blue hue, or the extreme get purple ones.(12k)

4300k is the best for actual driving and looks better than the blues anyway.
(4300k being the closest to day light than any other range)

I've read a few posts on where to get ur hids from and finally decided to go for hids4u - 2yr warranty, uk based (better customer service i hope if anything goes wrong *fingers crossed*) and that a few people on scn have had problems with ebay ones. But that obviously doesn't mean that everyone will have problems. So i fancied spending the extra cash for piece of mind plus i got a £40 discount through a discount code, so all in all i'm happy and just waiting to fit them.

I would NEVER use diane shop again lol

Got ripped off by them

i second that, both myself and a mate ordered a set at the same time,........ mine lasted 3 hours his about 6hrs, sent them back recorded delivery (cost of £58) just to send them back, they still (4months later) claim they still not had them, hmmmm, stick to UK peeps
HID's DIRECT in manchester little bit more but any problems and they can't do enough to help you (apparently), altho mine are ok, just need the money back off diane shop

I have just replaced my 8k bulbs with 6k far brighter and the signs have lost a lot of the blue i shone them up with, still a very small tinge though.
