Which HID Kit to buy?

I wouldnt bother with slim ballasts. mine or the big type and they are easy to fit in.

although if slim ones do the job, what is the harm in purchasing a set?

They are the same unit but as said why pay extra for something fancy when the regular ones do the same job.

if i had seen the slim ones around when i bought mine i would have paid extra - but then i do have main and dipped beam hids so 4 balasts to hide!

never considered these as I did not like the thought of having to drill the case.....but coming round to it now, and for £49.99 with peace of mind with purchasing from a UK company, I am very tempted now

Drilling the case is simple get a 25mm iirc plumbing type drill bit that cuts holes and line it up with where the dipped beam bulb "would leave" the case and drill.

Obviously that's for wood but if you are gentle you should be fine.

I used a metal one that had serrated edges, got it from a cheap DIY shop iirc was about £2.50.

Ok. Have to reopen this thread. Need some quick guidance for my leon mk1. Want to fit HIDs in. Will 35w 4300k be okay to install?

I changed my 6000k to 4300k. I prefer the 4300k. Also look for the H7R Bulbs they are anti glare

Look fine to me. I found the 6000k looked chavvy. All the saxo and corsa boys have 6000k and 8000k around here
